About Bhav

Bhav Amar is an award-winning actor and recent Durham University graduate (First Class BA in French and Spanish). Whilst at Durham, Bhav’s talent saw her consistently cast in leading roles.

Her critically acclaimed debut as the lead in the one-woman play “Beautiful Nothing” at the Edinburgh Fringe achieved sell-out shows, five-star reviews, and a special merit award, with critics hailing her “a superstar in the making.”

Her versatility shone further in classical roles at Durham, where she delivered “a truly captivating and emotionally resonant portrayal” as Hamlet, and a “standout performance” as Mephistopheles in Doctor Faustus. In Nina Raine’s Rabbit, she earned praise for “her extraordinary talent in drawing complex characters” as protagonist Bella.

A National Youth Theatre member, Bhav was among the 1% of applicants accepted into Bristol Old Vic Theatre School’s BA Acting course following her time at Durham. However, she opted instead to enter the industry directly, and continues to refine her skills at Identity School of Acting whilst pursuing professional opportunities.

Beyond acting, Bhav is a keen fitness enthusiast and former member of Coventry Godiva Harriers (Athletics) and Warwickshire Golf Club’s Ace Academy.
