About Bhav

Bhav Amar is an award-winning actor and 2024 Durham University graduate with a First Class BA (Hons) in French and Spanish, now fluent in both languages.

At Durham, Bhav led several major productions. Her debut as the lead in the one-woman play Beautiful Nothing earned critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe, with sell-out shows, five-star reviews, and a special merit award. Other highlights include her “captivating and emotionally resonant” interpretation of Hamlet, a “standout performance” as Mephistopheles in Doctor Faustus, and her praised portrayal of Bella in Rabbit, showcasing “extraordinary talent in drawing complex characters.”

A member of the National Youth Theatre, she was selected as one of 28 out of 2,000+ applicants for the BA Acting Course at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. However, feeling ready to enter the industry, she instead chose to focus on professional endeavours.

Aside from acting (and foreign languages), Bhav has a strong sports background, and is a former member of Coventry Godiva Harriers (Athletics) and Warwickshire Golf Club’s Ace Academy.
